In our schools, we care a lot about social responsibility. We launch many initiatives inspired by the teachings of our Islamic religion and its values that urge and guide towards goodness. These initiatives also aim to deepen the meanings of tolerance and compassion in our students, in order to boost students’ self-esteem and instill pride in our Islamic religion, belonging to the homeland, loyalty to the King, and deepening the positive values for all.
The following are the areas that we have worked and continue to develop:
First: Charitable Community Initiatives:
We believe that it is our responsibility to give back to the community. Therefore, our school annually undertakes the following initiatives:
Scholarship Program:
Four full-scholarships are offered annually for primary level students according to a specific criteria allowing chosen male-students to finish their studies until third grade and chosen female-students to finish their studies until the sixth grade.
Ruya Heroes Initiative:
It is an annual financial donation from the profits of Ruya Summer Camp that is donated each year to a different charitable organization, including,
Jude Charity Association – Sanad Charitable Association for the Support of Children with Cancer – Namaa Association in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region.
Participating in the Sanad’s Charity Walk Festival:
Volunteers from our staff partake in the annual management and organization of the festival and prepare publications for the event. Participation in the Sanad Charity Walk Festival began in 2017 and continues annually.
Second: Student Programs for Community Service
These are programs and projects which students participate in and they aim to:
The Initiatives are:
Charity Sale Festival
The festival aims to integrate concepts of voluntary work and to create the experience of buying and selling among our students, and provide them with the experiences of giving and empathizing with others.
All students in kindergarten and primary grades participate in the festival, where they sell products made by them in a large festival attended by their parents. All the proceeds are allocated to sponsoring orphans from The Charitable Society for Orphan Care in the Eastern Region Benaa’.
Reading Community Initiative:
The initiative aims to promote a culture of reading among all members of society, and emphasizes the idea of reading for pleasure.
Therefore, small libraries were set up in public parks. The libraries were provided with stories for children and general books so that visitors could borrow them, exchange them for another book, or place their own books, so that the stories and books could be swapped in a civilized manner.
Since the academic year 2017-2018, our third grade students have equipped libraries and installed them in some public parks. Annually, students install new libraries in new locations, as well as after previous libraries by providing them with appropriate books and stories.
Community Partnership Committee
Our school believes in the importance of cooperation between the school, parents and society and its positive impact on the educational process. Therefore, our Community Partnership Committee was launched.
