Professional Development Program

Our schools conducts continuous professional development programs for all teachers and staff – each within their respective fields.

All-year training: includes weekly meetings for each group from each grade level with the supervisor to review weekly plans for the current week and the upcoming weeks.

Beginning of the year training: held for a period of 4 weeks  and includes essential courses for all Ru’ya schools teachers.

End of 1st semester training: held for 5 days, and revolves around analyzing students’ scores, evaluating plans, and prepping for the upcoming semester.

End of year training: This training is held for 2 weeks. Plans are evaluated and reflections are set in preparation for the next year’s plans.

Co-teaching and cooperation

Effective cooperation encourages constant observation between coworkers in an environment of professional partnership, communication, experimenting, and constructive criticism. Teachers and staff work alongside each other to ensure that our students receive the best learning opportunities through exchanging experience and expertise.

In the spirit of achieving cooperation, we organize specific sessions for each grade level for planning. Co-teaching includes two or more teachers taking on the responsibility of teaching all or some students in the classroom using various methods.

External training

Every year, our schools host an external training agency from and beyond the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia so that we may benefit from the expertise of different trainers from various universities and training agencies and transmit the knowledge to our teachers, and all local teachers through the workshops that our schools conduct to all those interested in the educational field. This aids us in achieving our vision and social responsibility.

Monthly Meetings

Our schools deeply care for our employees and learning community. Therefore, our schools organize monthly meetings for our employees aimed at strengthening the ties of Ru’ya Family, by celebrating special occasions of our staff and rewarding our distinguished employees monthly.

Emergency Leave

We understand that employees may have to go out for a short time during working hours for  important matters,  such as a doctor’s appointment, government department follow-up, attending a meeting at her child’s school, etc. In order for the teacher not to resort to being absent on that day, the schools allocated 6 hours for the first semester and 6 hours for the second semester for emergency leave during working hours without deduction from the salary.  Our schools also grants the employee two days of emergency paid leave during the academic year.

Ru’ya Family Committee

Believing in the importance of working in a team spirit, our schools established  ‘Ru’ya Family Committee’ that consists of a group of teachers who are elected by their colleagues in each department and a group of administrators to discuss the challenges facing employees and to submit proposals to the schools’ management.
